January 2008
Dear Family and Friends,
We hope that you finished up 2007 with a nice Christmas celebration and are looking forward to the new year. Many things have not changed for us this past year, but wed like to share a few highlights and pictures of special events:
Andys big news this year is his traveling. He was invited for a spring break to Egypt with a friend. Given his long time interest in all things Egyptian, this was an amazing opportunity. His favorite part? Cruising down the Nile. Least favorite part? Getting caught in customs and missing his connecting flight to Austin. With no other flights available for days, he and 2 other weary passengers rented a car to drive from Chicago to Austin in time for classes. He took another long trip this fall semester to Los Angeles to work on his film degree. He interned on a movie called Hancock, which stars Will Smith and is set to come out this summer. He also made new friends and spent time with his cousins who live in LA.

Megan is finishing up her high school career and enjoying her senior year. She is still playing clarinet in the band, and is currently participating in her senior musical, The Wizard of Oz. She is in her last year of Girl Scouts and in the final stages of earning her Gold Award. Her project involves rejuvenating the exterior of the Interfaith Caring Ministries building. She could use help, so feel free to contact her to volunteer. She hasnt made a final decision on colleges yet, but she is making applications to several Texas schools.

Allen is now a freshman, joining Megan in high school and in the marching band, so Mom and Dad can focus on one set of activities. He took up a new instrument this year, and we are proud of his progress on the tenor sax. He is the tallest member of the family now. Allen and Patty traveled north in May to see their niece/cousin graduate in Boston, and he loved the history and atmosphere.

Mike went to Oregon this summer to help his Dad celebrate his 80th year and visited both coasts on business trips.

Patty and Megan went to Disney World back in March on the spring band trip.

A Bohn family reunion was held on the beach in Galveston in June. The family is so large that many first cousins had never met. Others enjoyed the much anticipated time together, reconnecting with one anothers lives.

We enjoyed visiting with many of you this year, including a Ball High School mini 25th reunion.

God bless you and your families and friends in 2008!
Love,
