Dear family and friends,

We are happy to share our highlights of 2018 with you! Seems like it’s the "year of houses"...

Andy

Andy purchased his first home this year. Located in East Downtown Houston (EaDo), he is just 1 mile from Minute Maid Park. This makes for easy strolls to Astros games, with plenty of options to stop for a craft brew along the way. He has traveled to Philadelphia, Montréal, Vancouver, New Orleans, Chicago, and San Diego this year, and crossed three more ballparks off his bucket list (16/30). Now that he has a house, he was finally able to adopt a dog. We welcome Tuve (yes, after José Altuve) as our newest family member.

Megan

Speaking of homes, Meggy is busy saving for a townhome that is currently being built in the old Mueller Airport section of Austin. If all goes well, she will be moving there in April. Cross fingers! Patty and Meggy took a cruise out of Galveston to Honduras & Belize. They also had a great trip to California where she got to hike with her cousin Kayla through the Giant Redwoods.

Allen & Kathy

Allen & Kathy continue the renovations on their home. So far this year they have made great progress on the hardwood floors, and have been able to move into their bedroom from the dining room. They completed built-in desks, and repainted the exterior. Every time we visit, the place is cozier. Kathy also took a new job as a sign language interpreter for the Plano School District. They enjoyed a trip to Albuquerque with friends this summer.

Patty & Mike

Patty & Mike said farewell to their Clear Lake home of 30 years. They still commute between Austin and Houston for jobs, but now that Andy has a house in the area, they just rent a room from him! Mike is currently on vacation indefinitely (aka furlough, aka government shutdown). Patty went ziplining for the first time ever and loved it!
